Volunteer: Camp Counselors

SOAR participants, both teens and adults, are invited to attend camps. Without our incredible volunteer counselors, they might not have these traditional overnight camp experiences!

Each camper is unique in their abilities and independence – Some campers may need help dressing appropriately for weather, need reminders to brush their teeth, assistance cutting food, or help following the camp schedule. Volunteer counselors assist campers as needed, as well as supporting campers’ involvement in activities like arts & crafts, boating, fishing, games, music, exploring nature, swimming, & more!

*Please note the age requirement for Camp Counselors is 16 years old.

NEW & RETURNING VOLUNTEERS are asked to first complete our Camp Volunteer Registration Form which can be completed online. After submitting the Volunteer Registration Form, SOAR will conduct a background/reference check and follow-up with you with additional details.
