Vote Coming Soon On ABLE Act

According to disabilityscoop.com, Congress will be voting this week on the ABLE Act. This bill would allow individuals with disabilities to save money in tax free, interest earning bank accounts. The amount in these accounts would not affect a person’s eligibility for Medicaid or any other means-tested benefit. Please read the attached article for more detailed information.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

(Appleton, WI) J.J. Keller Foundation awards grant in honor of Roger Erdmann, winner of the first James J. Keller Operational Excellence Award.  Roger chooses SOAR Fox Cities, Inc. to be the recipient of $2,500!

When Roger Erdman won the first-ever JJ Keller Operational Excellence Award, he knew immediately where the $2,500 J. J. Keller Foundation grant that accompanies the award would go.  SOAR Fox Cities – Formerly The Arc Fox Cities – was an important part of the Erdmann family as they grew up.  Roger says he chose SOAR “because I was guardian for my brother, Bob, who currently lives in a group home environment in Appleton.  Our mother, Hilda, bless her soul, promoted and helped in the organization of The ARC of Neenah-Menasha as they were starting out.  The many great things that are promoted throughout this organization for the mentally/physically disabled is fantastic, from group activities, to crafts, sports, organized trips.”

Congratulations to Roger and to SOAR Fox Cities!
