On Thursday, May 14th, at 10:30 a.m., many local small businesses, advocates, and county leaders will discuss the economic impact and job loss associated with the proposed State Budget at a Press Event at Empowerment Living Services in Neenah, Wisconsin. Attendees from small businesses will be concerned that the proposed elimination of the IRIS program, will take them out of business. CEO’s from Empowerment Living Services and Community Care Connections will be there to share their concerns regarding the future of their business. The County Executive’s from Outagamie County and Portage County will also be there to “local economic data related to the long-term care industry” (Pugh).
